Ben Allen charged with Drink-Driving

Surprised this hadn't been posted.

He is the 3rd Croc to be done in the last three years following Michael Cedar and Galen Young.

In recent memory, the last 2 drink driving NBL basketballers have been sacked, they wereboth imports however. It looks like the Crocs will just fine him and enforce some community service hours.

I have to wonder if those hours would involve anything they dont probably already do, like schools visits.

In my opinion, he should be suspended for a few games at the minimum. Thoughts?

They might as well. Not sure that they'd miss his two points in the last three games. Obviously they're not eager to get out of his contract otherwise they could've used this as an excuse.

Interesting that it was after a club function.

At a previous employer (large blue chip company), senior staff were all provided with cab charge dockets for company functions to prevent stuff like this. At another former company there was quite a culture of the long Friday afternoon lunch and there was always a number of staff who were done. At that company, it was almost a badge of honour to blow the most.

There is also a precedent with worker's comp involving an employee who was killed in a car accident after a compulsory business function. Blood analysis showed he was way over and should not have been driving.

Need to be careful!

he is a dumbass, rates himself higher than any other person with knowledge of basketball in the country! Doesnt even seem to have ay desire to improve his game/role in the team!

If you didn't have to worry about winning and losing I'd sentence him to playing 30 minutes a game for 2-3 games. That would give fans of both teams a chance to have a laugh at his expense as they watch him fumble about and f*ck up just about everything he tries to do on a basketball court.

I am not a fan of this guy's "game".

And this kid was recruited and went to INDIANA!!!! Transferred out when he realised the mistake he'd made and went to St. Mary's...
