So Mason, on 2011 population figures: -

Victoria - 5.5M - 6 players = 1 per 916,667
NSW - 7.2M - 4 players = 1 per 1,800,000
Qld - 4.5M - 1 player = 1 per 4,500,000
SA - 1.6M - 1 player = 1 per 1,600,000
WA - 2.3M - 0 players = No ranking

So based on those figures, we are actually, on population, the 2nd highest ranking state selected.

I agree that all the other states have a lot to do to catch up to Victoria, but don't just lump SA into that without mentioning the other states need work too.

Nice try Not Me Again, it would be great to see these figures as a representation of state basketball participation.

A team of broad skills, size, flexibility and strength with some wonderful coaches...

It will be more than interesting to see how this group goes against the rest of the world, the only thing we lack here is any interest in our local media whatsoever!

If this was a National soccer team or cricket team, or AFL/NRL team I am sure they would get more media attention, pick up your game Australia and start recognising the other WORLD GAME, please....
