Wildcats 2013-14 roster thread

This is the team the Wildcats should be trying to target:

PG D.MARTIN, R.CARTER

SG IMPORT (10) Think Lisch is gone), E.BARTLETT ( would rather Lewis but Bartlett is contracted

SF G.HIRE, C.ELLIS

PF M.WORTHINGTON, S.REDHAGE

C M.KNIGHT, DEV

70 OUT OF 70 POINTS,

if we swapped Carter with Norton, Bartlett with Lewis, Ellis with a dev player and the Import with Peter Crawford (olympian)...... we would be able to swap the DEVELOPMENT Center with Mike Dunigan and have a loaded frontcourt.

I don't think we are downgrading a lot. Norton is an up and comer and will be good, Lewis is better than bartlett in my opinion, We will play a dev player that has had time in the system and Peter Crawford is a former Wildcat and an Olympian, Proven player.

This is just a random idea but imagine a team looking like this.

PG. D.Martin, M.Norton

SG. P.Crawford, B.Lewis

SF. G. Hire, DEV

PF. M.Worthington, S.Redhage

C. M.Knight, M.Dunigan

The best thing about this team is its versatility. Redhage and Wortho can play the 3 with their shooting range. Knight can play the 4, Lewis can play the 3 because he's long.

Just a random team that could win a title

Your second team is ridiculous. Four starting-quality players the frontcourt is such a waste even if two of them can play some SF.

Wagstaff is signed next season.. so is Norton by the way.

I am pretty sure Lisch is off to Europe next season so I think the team will look like :

Martin / Robbins or Carter or Rookie
Import / Bartlett
Hire / Ellis
Redhage / Wagstaff
Knight / Trueman

I would like to stay with Hire but if he gets an offer too good to refuse elsewhere:

Martin (9) / Rookie (3)
Import (10) / Bartlett (4)
Worthington (9) / Ellis (3)
Redhage (10) / Wagstaff (8)
Knight (10) / Trueman (4)
= 70 points

Alexkrad I like your team and if we don't get wortho and we keep hire that would give us enough points to keep carter

Is there a way to get Worthington and Ellis and keep Carter and Hire?

Don't think it will work even if you took trueman out would be over. Got 2 options either carter and hire for 12pts or Worthington and 3pt player also 12pts

I think with who is already signed Hire, Worthington and Ellis would make the team top heavy and you couldnt fit an import in with Carter as back up PG.

Martin (9) / Carter (6)
Import (10) / Bartlett (4)
Worthington (9) / Hire (6) / Ellis (3)
Redhage (10) / Wagstaff (8)
Knight (10) / Vigor(1)
=76 points

So you would need to go no import.

I think it's Hire or Worthington, not both. And Cody doesnt really fit having Redhage and Wagstaff already signed if you have Wortho and Hire anyway.
Even if Cody isn't locked that team is above the points cap.

I think Hire will be better offensively next season anyway. He can make the open 3 just it didnt seem to go in as much as it should have last year. He proved his worth with his hustle on rebounds and defence.

Would be interesting to see if Lisch does leave if instead of going with a combo guard or pure shooting guard going with a 2/3 swingman.

Martin/Carter
Import/Bartlet/Carter
Hire/Import/Ellis
Redhage/Wagstaff/Ellis
Knight/Trueman

Gives the team a few different looks depending on who is on the floor.

I just don't see room for Redhage, Wortho, Wagstaff, Ellis and Hire.

I like Wortho but for team balance and dynamics I'd rather Dunigan.

If Lisch goes we REALLY need a two that can shoot.

Now we know that carter, lisch, tovey, trueman and Bartlett aren't coming back my suggested wildcats roster is as follows,

Import/ Muo
Hire/ wagstaff

Knight/ import (dunigan or Hudson?)

Lisch is gone now no surprise really. Think this could be wildcats next season

Martin/3pt player
Import/1pt player
Hire/Muo
Redhage/Wagstaff
Knight/import f-c
Looks like Ellis not playing this year?
