Thunder vs Grizzlies, Game 2

Anyone else wonder if the reliance on star players in clutch situations is too easily defended? Thunder were completely predictable at the end there and the Warriors seemed the same with Curry at times.

A prayer over two defenders vs a better look from a less-known player? Not like Fisher is a complete stranger to big shots and had been hitting in that game.

Agreed. Steve Kerr and John Paxon are 2 good examples of a superstar trusting his open teammates.

Funny you should mention those as an office colleague raised Paxson too and I responded with Kerr.

One of the last Thunder plays where Durant passed in to Perkins who looked to go straight back to Durant (running to the corner) and the pass was deflected - just so obvious. Durant being forced to throw it off Randolph's leg after the double-team reminded me of Steph Curry getting trapped by the Spurs and putting up a ridiculous one-handed loopy shot. That is a terrible clutch option. Draw the D with a plan and move it on to someone else.

Sounds like the type of shots thAt #24 from the lakers takes way too often instead of passing it up to an open teammate

Exactly & that's why he was the greatest ever!!

He knew the D would collapse & he fed the open shooter - with class!!

It's all about the 'W' for the real winner!!
