Wildcats Coach????

Rumor is Cats have already signed a coach maybe an American??, I had heard the rumour that they had a signed a player like dunigan then a couple of days later they announced their latest signing. Could Dunlap be coming back down under??

Surely someone has some info, if they have signed a coach why not release it.

Two people have stated "useful facts". Only one of them can be right, thats if either of them are. Sorry, but I don't find that useful at all.

According to Nick Marvin, he has never spoken to Dunlap, so I think Observer is full of it

Dunnigan told Air21 express (Team he played for in Phillipines after Perth) that he would head to Summer League and try to crack the NBA again and if unsuccessful he would love to go back there.....that said he said the same thing to Perth....seems to be a pattern.....IMO Perth could do a lot worse than try and get Luke Nevill back if they have Dunnigan money

Perth are going to search for a coach that can play an entertaining style of game that wins championships Gleeson has never won a championship although a good promoter of himself his record is not good enough for this enviroment WE can get to the finals but can't win it bring in someone that knows how to do it As good as Beveridges record was he won 1 title in 9seasons in the NBL I know we cannot win ever year but am sick of we made it deep into the finals I would rather win one every 2or 3 years and miss the finals instead of making the finals and winning one every 10 or 12 years Gleeson has no credits in this area

He did a hell of a job on a tight budget with average players in Townsville. So would be great to see what he could do with an organisation like Perth.

Goorgian and Lemanis are not available. Its easy to just name names but you need to be realistic too. Gleeson would be a good coach if hired given the candidates available. The wildcats also have to be wary they dont get another Connor Henry type coach if they go for an unkown from the US.

Hope its not Gleeson. Isnt he the guy that put Corletto as the 11th man for the Tigers? Great decision that turned out to be, especially when none of the Tigers players could shoot that season.

Would love Cal Bruton back.

Hitting? Lets call it for what is was. He bumped a ref at best, but more than likely just (intentionally) parked himself in the refs blind spot.

Get real: "As good as Beveridges record was he won 1 title in 9seasons in the NBL"

That's a neat trick when he only coached in the league for 6 seasons

I would say he was in that position inadvertently but then when he had time to move out of the way decided not to.

Hey anonymous you would not know a good coach if it bit you.Obviously you have an issue with Smyth comparing him with JOyce Anstey and Clarke he has 3 Championships the only Australian to do so his teams were always fun top watch even when the club was broke the last 5 years he was there The other 3 have one championship between them good comparison or is that Gleeson just bagging so he looks good Perth would not be able to get Smyth out of Adelaide but would be great for us would be exciting to watch up tempo LIegh Matthews went from Collingwood to Brisbane after a long lay off recharged he won 3 grand finals with Brisbane DIfferent sport I know but they are both similar in what they have done for their sports and the respect they have Gleesons record vs Smyths record there is no comparison do your research it is a joke to even try and compare ask the players who have played for them see what response you get Cattalini played for a lot of different coaches Bevo and Smyth were 2 and he rates Smyth the best by far Bevos record is far better than Gleesons you do the maths

Get Real do your homework on how many titles Goorgian & Lemanis won in there firt 5 seasons. Joey the same. Westover won one straight away after being an asst for 20 seasons & picked up Anstey in his prime. If Gleeson gets the Perth gig he will go very close to bringing glory back to Perth. The numbers back me up. Go Trev!!!!
