The better question is "who is in charge of the Sydney Kings?" And the answer is no one. There is zero leadership at that club.

Disagree. Like many clubs they operate on a small budget with limited staff, the majority of their energy goes into getting new paying fans and sponsors/partnerships and selling corporate boxes. What are they supposed to be doing?

BTW David Koch is one of 7 owners, another is an owner of various hotels in Sydney. Not sure of the rest.

Did Kochie buy back in? That guy was so tight when the Kings needed topping up of capital in the early 2000s after the Macquarie debacle.

That's the list of current shareholders. When I get a chance I will check out who owns the many companies that own shares in the Kings.

NBL will be worth a look too...and then of course Melbourne.

The owners are a bunch of guys with deep pockets who spruik around town to their corporate colleagues that they are owners of the Kings to boost their on egos and are absolutely CLUELESS about running an NBL. Like the team, their is NO Leader amongst the ownership group!!

3 of 7 are Koch family? So really four shareholdings... and Koch nearly 50% with his tightness doesn't bode well for spending the cap
