U23 Women Div One game 2/12

In U23 Womens Div One, Eagles Vs South last night I witnessed some really disappointing behaviour..
With less than a minute to go to end of game, and Eagles well ahead on about 96 points there was a nasty, but not deliberate, accident on court, stopping the game and a South player requiring paramedical/ambulance assistance to hospital.
Umpires approached the coaches and asked whether they wanted the game to continue or whether they were happy for coaches to make decision to end game. Re-iterate at that point Eagles had the game well and truely won.
South coach happy to hand game to Eagles given the circumstances, but no, not the Eagales coach...he demanded to continue, wanting his girls to get to 100 points and really put the boot in...
Injured player was gently removed from the court and game continued.
Congratulations to the Eagles coach..demonstrating incredible lack of sportmanship and fair play....shame on you. Hope that does'nt represent your Clubs values. It was hardly a final with the scores tied with a minute to go!!. Poor form.
You got your hundred points + and well done to the South girls who, depleted as they were, fought it out.

Does the coach get a "bonus" if he gets the ton?

It's free cheeseburgers for all spectators isn't it if you score 100

I recall a U23/1 Men's grand final between North and Sturt where Scott Butler pulled the pin on the game in the last quarter due to injuries etc. The game was awarded to North who from recollection was leading reasonably comfortably at the time.

While not ideal way to finish a GF the action taken by Scott was in the best interests of his players while North accepted the situation though I am sure they would have preferred to win it over the full game.

This F/V coach needs to have a look at himself!!

Just a parent living the dream through his kid!
I guess you can't fault his performance though, top of the ladder, crushing the league, must be an excellent coach!
Forestville without Paul A. Is a shell of what the club was in attitude.

The rot set in long before Arnie left. The attitudes of some of the people down there are terrible.

Forestville, always been like that, think they are better than anybody else, got to win by biggest margin, do not care about sportsmanship, same ol Forestville

he isn't the only orphan there are some horrible white line win at all coaches in most clubs one northern club has one in low grade U18s their lack of sympathy with Southern's injured player was gobsmacking at the plex tournament. then the Port Pirie coach in the same tourney had coaches of opposing teams up in arms when he made his U10s cry. Some are so focused on what they want they forget what is good for the game. Just hope Karma comes back to bite.
