Larry Kestleman's new proposal for the NBL

Boti has a story up: www.botinagy.com/blog/nbl-needs-a-dictator-not-just-dicks/

Although there is not a lot of detail, if the NBL club owners don't take up his new proposal, then they are complete idiots in my opinion.

Something needs to seriously change and Kestleman is prepared to inject some big dollars into the NBL.

If the NBL don't take this new offer, I honestly give up on this League.

It's been coming for a while and with the dodo guys keen its a perfect opportunity to make significant changes and have money invested in an almost dead NBL.
Marvins proved he doesn't have the answers other than run his own agendas and with no actual investment coming from him, time for a change.
Change or die.

Why would you say no? Marvin could go in with the investor, or make a counter-proposal?

Marvin is a joke ... has no really serious business experience or success, yes he runs a baseball club but please keep him away from something needing some skill and entrepreneurial spirit.

Amazing how qualified someone is with someone else's money.
I note that on his resume it doesn't mention that taking over responsibility of the NBL from BA that it is now a basketcase,

You know there were four other board members, each with their own business background, that were running the NBL?

Sure do. He ultimately has responsibility like every other privately owned business.
All should reign in reality. But Marvin's the one who has to carry the can. If it was a publicly listed company they would all have been run out years ago.

Re-visiting old proposals, well that's fine and I have been an advocate for something similar for quite a while now. Will he the the 'white knight' the NBL needs? Is he out Sir Frank Lowe?

Remains to be seen, very interesting times ahead, hopefully!

"Sure do. He ultimately has responsibility like every other privately owned business."

He is no more responsible than any other Board member, or club CEO that managed their club poorly. In fact, I'd be looking at those guys, the ones who had their hand out for cash yet still stuffed up their clubs before looking at what the Chairman did or didn't do.

I don't know why Boti isn't running the league. Its clear he has such fantastic business acumen that he can determine that the offer is exactly what the league needs without even seeing the detail. He should make himself Commissioner, and the league can be built on telling people what they want to hear.

If you read the blog post, it contains a link to a previous blog post that Boti posted on his website on March 11th, which contains the detail of the plan proposed and was rejected at the time.

Can someone please change the thread title, there's no new offer.
Nagy just mentions the Kestleman proposal that was put forward ages ago. It was a stupid proposal with more holes than Swiss Cheese.
