Bear, coach signing is a pretty major announcement, as is a team renaming. If there was another, I didn't see it. Been overseas for eight weeks and not reading as often as usual.

Agreed.. would not be surprised to see lisch reunite with bevo. Great to see bevo back in the NBL and is an equally good coach as Gordie.

So where is all this money coming from. Still broke effectively and everyone had a stiffie about a very expensive player reuniting with Beveridge.

So how much money did he tip in. Will they have another under salary cap team?

I thought their owner, Spencely, had deep pockets?

Did find it interesting that Kestelman was the one provided the quotes in the article about his signing.

Kestelman provided comments in the NBL article but I think it was Hawks GM Welch in the Hawks release.

We might see Schenscher line up with Hawks. I think Luke played under Bevo and along side Lisch in a Perth Championship.

I'll miss big Luke in Adelaide - he was a good "point of difference"- so I hope he finds a good home in the NBL, possibly with Hawks or Crocs.

Schenscher wasn't used that well at Perth under Beveridge. I'd be surprised to see him move to Wollongong in that case. From an outside observation, I thought he might have left Perth initially to move away from Beveridge's style of coaching.

True, Bevo does play a lot of small ball with a focus on run & gun plus outside shooting rather than having a big target inside.

Beveridge a massive signing.
Best coach the league has seen in a while.

Gordie hugely overated. W/L record was horrendous.
