Lakers Add Williams and Bass

Lakers added Lou Williams 3 year $21m contract. Good signing for Lakers as they get a scorer off the bench at a relatively cheap price. Also means Nick Young is on the trading block which will make LA fans happy.

Have also signed Brandon Bass details yet to come.

Mavs interested in sign and trade for Lin, think this is where lakers may push to include young in the deal

At least they're better than last season, with some good young players and shorter contracts.

Are we gonna have to read a pointless message from KET every time he feels something isn't necessary.

You don't want to be involved in the thread then don't. No one cares about your dumb response

Some people love basketball and are happy to post or chat on anything basketball related, including the lakers.

And if you've read recent past threads there was talk about if the lakers could get anyone at this point.

So KET why don't you......

Good signing for the lakers? Are you serious? Nick young and Lou Williams off the bench will be disgusting

You do realise that the lakers are actively seeking an out for Young so the pick is good. 3 years and $21m for reigning 6th man of the year (nearly 16ppg) isn't that bad I'm sure other teams would have taken that.

If lakers can add young to a Lin trade to Dallas then that would be good.

Hope lakers, not that they will, try and get McDaniels

$1 is too much to pay for a volume (poor) shooter to a team with Kobe. They're taking all the shots. Bye bye Jordan Clarkson and Julius randles development.

Lin is a free agent. The mavs will never sign and trade with nick young included. You people are delusional. The lakers don't have anywhere near enough first round picks for Mark Cuban to let that happen

I'm delusional??? Um read up

Dallas Mavericks are exploring sign and trade possibilities with LA to sign acquire free agent point guard Jeremy Lin.

Didn't write the Mavs would want Young I wrote be good if they could include him in the deal.

So if Kobe gets injured as history suggests and they trade Young, then how is it horrible to sign Williams? Gives you a scorer off the bench as you'd assume starting five would include Clarkson and Randle. Also not a big contract that would be easy to move if needed to later.

Dallas might want to sign and trade for Lin but Lakers will probably want dirk in return...

Lakers are happy just to get rid of Young and Mavs really want Lin.

Plus they'll just sign him with their $2.8 million exception.

I just think it's easier/more logical to consolidate the Lakers Free Agency talk into a single thread - at least while it's still visible - on the home page.

It's not a Lakers hate thing, which is probably the assumption by strongly adverse reaction. I'm a long-time Spurs fan, not a Boston fan, so no real rivalry.

Isn't the $2.8m exception being used on Barea

They are too. Wasn't aware of that. Not sure why you'd need Lin in that case, JJ is surprisingly productive and a ring winner

Barea too small and not good enough defensively to be starting point guard especially in the west.

Well KET isn't it easier more logical to not waste time posting pointless comments on a thread?

You've done that twice now!

The "too small" call is why he's very underrated. Jeremy Lin is no kawhi Leonard either. Wouldn't be happy with Lin starting either

dont think Barea is a starter in the NBA. Great off the bench and can score and pass but starting is a whole different story.

They don't have many more options than Lin.
