Why not on the NBL website? Prather signing isn't either. Maybe starting redevelopments already?

Tom, it's up there now. You posted that at around 8am, likely before anyone was at work in the NBL office. The Hawks probably timed their release to garner the support of the radio station given the exclusive.

Is Penney at SF a liability defensively?

"Is Penney at SF a liability defensively?"

Against the likes of Childress, Abercrombie, Blanchfield, and a few other imports he may be.

Forman at 4 is also poor in that area.

That is why the Hawks will be even better if they can get a budget role playing import who is limited offensively but can defend at the 4 and 3 spots and rebound. Think along the lines of a very poor man's Rodman type.

The Breakers have spent their money locking in Jackson, Webster, Abercrombie, Vukona and Pledger. That's money well spent to keep them a contender for at least 2-3 years to come.

A Torrey Craig, Ron Dorsey type would do them nicely.

Hopefully a BIG import for the Breakers too.

In my opinion they need the import to be a bit bigger than a Dorsey/Craig type and a better defender and rebounder. BUT. They don't need to have the offensive talents of either of those you mentioned.

I think the type of player they need should be easy to get out off college. Athletic defender with a limited offensive game who is a little undersized for the NBA.

Yep, undersized athletic PF who loves setting screens, rebounding and playing defence.

^^ did someone say Diamon Simpson

If you add Diamond Simpson to their starting line up it will definitely be the best hawks starting 5 that I remember

A younger, less offensively-talented version of Diamon Simpson, yes. One without the price tag.

Agree Paul. Was about to post similar.

No. Not Walker either. Would prefer a player with some basketball IQ.

I can't place a player to use as an example because most NBL imports have to be scorers of some note. Ideally this guy could defend the post and the bigger NBL wings.

Rosell Ellis?

Maybe the best example for the import would be a young Vukona before he developed his offensive game.

Why dont they just bring back Gruber?

They need a more mobile player than Dave, though he wouldn't be the worst signing and has played for Bevo before.

This season will be even better than last season with all this returning talent. Hopefully the gulf between the best & the worst has narrowed and the playoff spots are decided in the final two rounds.

Henry Walker - who played a bit for the heat last season and bounced around a few leagues in recent years would be a good pickup for a nbl team
he's 6-7 and strong- play pf/sf great outside range to the 3 point line and a powerful dunker

perfect nbl import

Sounds like Draymond Green. What's the buyout on his contract from the Warriors?
