"head to head" results for finals placings

ok which overrides - 2 teams finish equal w/l and %of games won over games played.

i.e. both teams 9w 9l.

They played each other 3 times during the season. all teams played 18 games in the grade - i.e no unequal byes.

Team A wins 2 games by 1 point both times but loses the 3rd game by 10 points.

So the point split is -8 for team A and +8 for team B (but team A has a 2w 1L record against that team they tied with).

Which prevails ? the 2W 1L result or point split ?

Most comps will go by FIBA rules where 2 wins beat 1.
