U20 Australian Championships 2017

The next big junior tournament is in Bendigo 11th - 18th February, so will the Vic's run the gauntlet again or can another State upset the trend?

Will NZ send teams this time around and can they make an impact if they do decide to come?

What State teams have been announced, who are the starters going to be?

After rigorous screening and try-out events across the state, the four Victorian teams - under-20 men and women and Ivor Burge men and women – were announced this week ahead of February’s national championships, held in Bendigo.

Yes Anon #613857 its good that you acknowledged the fascinating post your mum made, she seems to know everything worth knowing, and after checking your birth certificate there seems to be at least one little thing she doesn't quite know - but its probably not worth knowing anyway, given you are such a rude *&&(*&%%

NSW men look strong in the guards as usual, I like the look of SA men too, they have a well rounded team and will be tough.

No Sam Froling for QLD men?

No Elsworthy or Hatchard for sa (Adelaide)
No Mcspadden for nsw (Sydney) although McLean is available
No Clarke for wa (coe?)
No Conti, Bibby, Maley for vic (Melbourne, Dandenong, Adelaide)

Under 20's unfortunately has been on the slide the last 5-6 years with our best players unavailable due to college, national league, USA HS or other reasons! Still some decent talent, but nowhere near what it should be.

It is true that at this age group you will lose some of your best talent where kids opt to go to US High School to chase higher rankings. It is also true that a couple will head to college early, but still plenty of college bound athletes playing and teams are generally stronger than 16'-18's because country/metro are combined.

Never seen her play.

She was injured during their practice matches so haven't seen her play for awhile. She is pretty good though, very athletic. I'm not sure how she goes at national tournaments but she's good over here.
