Utah waive Derrick Rose

Utah waived Rose today. It is crazy how his nba career has turned out. One of the best players in the league 5 years ago. Even more crazy was Adidas giving him a 14 year 243 million dollar endorsement deal—- that's a lot of shoes!

Rose will still make about 14 million from adidas deal for the next 8-9 years despite barely any nba interest in him.

Adidas were desperate. At the time without the deal wasnt questioned all that much. As for Rose its sad, its been as much mental as physical for him. He hasnt always said the right things in interviews either, and he seems a sensitive type, so hasnt enjoyed any backlash.

Thibs will offer him a gig at the Wolves, but will it even matter? He was a great star, just didnt shine bright enough for long enough.

Sad that the inuries got in the way. He lost his chance to learn how to play as he gradually lost his athleticism. Biggest problem now seems to be that he still thinks he can be a star. He needs to learn that to stick in the league now it has to be as a role player, and play that role.

He'd be the perfect candidate for a 28 game season, no more than two games a week.

Rodney Hood must be feeling like the most valuable player in the league right now.

Rose's teams when he is on the court are terrible hence teams aren't lining up to sign him.

He'd be a poor fit to a team int he NBL and not sure anyone would want to sign him after his MIA issues over the last two years as its a huge risk!
