Bullets re-sign Cam Bairstow for two years

The Brisbane Bullets are delighted to announce the return of former Bullet and ex Chicago Bulls forward Cameron Bairstow on a confirmed two-year contract, with the second year a club option.

Bairstow was recruited to the Bullets upon the clubs return to the NBL, with the 206cm-tall Rio Olympian returning from the US where he played at the University of New Mexico.

Nicknamed 'Bear', Bairstow was an imposing figure in the Bullets line-up until a knee injury in an overtime loss to Illawarra in 2016 resulted in a significant stint on the side-line.

Will be interesting to see which way they lean with imports - obviously a primo wing but do they trust that frontline in terms of officiating? Mika loves to test out officials and Hodgo is a magnet.

I'd like to see them resign Trice and push Cadee to the bench but I imagine he expects to start. I don't think Andrej is under any internal pressure but it would seem he needs to nail his two imports to challenge next season.
