Doc Rivers trades his son

Austin Rivers traded to Washington for Marcin Gortat. Imagine that conversation!

I think he meant the crime problem in DC caused by the current President and his cronies.

The crime problem in DC has been in existence for decades. Blaming Trump on it is idiotic.

Also Doc wouldn't trade his son because he was previously coach and GM. Now West has taken over. Good move Clippers.

How did current president cause crime in DC? think he is talking about the massive gun and gang violence in the Great Washington city area.

Obviously the person noting Melbourne as the most livable never leaves the CBD..check out theage.com.au recent congestion series is eye opening as to how bad things are getting for people in the outer burbs of Melbourne.

PS - Adelaide is under rated and would be higher on the list if it wasn't for the people

Once Wall and Gortat had that little issue mid-season, I think Gortat was always on his way out.

As much as I don't like Rivers, it's a good trade for the Wizards. Gortat is 34 and declining pretty fast.

They get a player 9 years younger who is probably on the up career wise rather than the down.

If this was a straight swap with no extra pieces, Washington got away with grand larceny. Rivers is actually really really good and could work as their starting 2 guard if they want to go small, which i suspect they will as results have plateaued the last couple years.

Wall
Rivers
Beal
Porter Jr
DeAndre perhaps

Forgot about Morris. Maybe Rivers sixth man off the bench, or Morris as centre in a specialist small-ball lineup

Hey, the clippers did give him a 3 year 35 mill contract (and I think doc was the boss at the time) so it's not all bad. That wasn't the only generous contract at that time though (e.g. Delly)

Yes it was a reference to the generalised crime problem that has plagued the Washington area. I don't like Trump but the crime preceded him.

I think Curley and anon re "Presidential crime" are both right.

Washington has long had a violent crime problem.

Trump has added layers to the white collar crime and corruption inherent in a political centre.

Gotta love the Melbourne-Adelaide slanging matches appearing regularly on here.

“Adelaide is under rated and would be higher on the list if it wasn't for the people.”

A lot of the more productive people have left Adelaide already. Melbourne is a common destination, but the cream rises to the top (of a traditional map).

So... Adelaide is under rated and will be higher when all the people have left.

Not sure why the wizards didn't draft a centre. Robert Williams was available but they didn’t take him. Stupid

Adelaide is actaully a ripping spot, more just a joke re the people.

I live in Melbourne now but must say Adelaide is easily a more livable city in terms of traffic/crime etc

These awards are just so embarrassing. Compare Singapore with Melbourne, no chance Melbourne is a nicer and liveable place to live. Changi airport on its own is more liveable than Melbourne

Agreed FM^

You might find who has the bigger spend on advertising with a certainly publication or associated body wins these type of awards.
