2018 Woolacott/Halls

On today, predictions?

Mens:

MVP: Starling (North) probably most likely to receive this. Overall great season on both ends and won't have too many votes being stolen from teammates. Turnage (Southern) and Mcgriff (Norwood) would be 2nd and 3rd for me but Southern have too many vote getters and Mcgriff missed a few games

COY: Corey Mclean from West probably favourite here with Norwood coach close behind.

DPOY: Mays (Southern) - Is a huge presence in the key for Southern and changes many shots. Honorable mentions to Starling, Richard (Forestville) and Phillips (Forestville)

6MOY: Plenty of candidates here. Don't think Harris (Forestville) would qualify as he has started too many games I would imagine. Jordan West and Kubank (West) would have been in the mix if they were available more often. Does Marshall from North qualify? Otherwise it might default to Burns (Southern) who has played great defence and been reliable off the bench down south.

U21: Michael Harris unless I'm missing any other clear standouts. Marshall (North) and Dau (Centrals) also impressive

Most Improved: Not even sure if there is an award for this category but most of the u21 guys would feature here

All star 5:
Johns
Thomas
Turnage
Mcgriff
Starling

I would give u21 to Harris but if most improved existed it would give it to Dau.

My all star 5
Johns
Rios
McGriff
Turnage
Starling

Mays super unlucky and agree with you on DPOY call.

Starling led league in steals ( by a lot ), second in blocks, first in D boards and constantly guarded the other teams stud every week. Reckon that is where DPOY should be going.

Men looks about right.

Thought North or Mavs import would win the women's.

The all star five is always a mystery to me. Starling seldom played the 5 spot and McGriff playing the 3 spot?
