It will be an interesting last round of games. Finally GC are playing to their potential but have two challenging games coming up this weekend.

Bozeman could have some competition for MVP from Blanchfield.

Yep that is correct for the QBL Men.

Mackay v Rocky will be cracker. Quality in teams is far apart, but a local rivalry brings results. Mackay at home by 10

Townsville v GC. GC have rocketed into the finals on the back of some end of season form. McVeigh and Froling are both in Adelaide this week for 36ers, so will that disrupt anything ? Tville would have to be favourites at home, but it will be closer than most think.

Logan v Cairns. Despite W/L records these two teams are quite a good match on paper. This game will come down to coaching decisions. NBL lead v NBL development. Cairns for the upset of the round.

RIP v Capitals. On end of season form, Capitals should account for the RIP.....but we all know the Caps post season form is poor. 4 points separated the teams last meeting, but the Caps have 'added' Coenrad. Recent form and a deeper team sees Caps progress in a tight one.

ROUND 2
Mackay v Cairns
Townsville v RIP

GF
Mackay v Townsville

Champion - Mackay

Do you mean, "RIP" progress in a tight one.
or
ROUND 2
Townsville v Caps?

one of the north teams will win, again. The QBL is one big snooze fest - the central and southern team have no chance. Mackay, Cairns, Townsville and Rocky win it every feckin year

At least QBL has teams across their state. Every other state league is basically a bunch of metro teams.

Qld's dense coastline caters for that, and it's great. WA and SA for example have limited locations outside of Perth and Adelaide that can host such associations. You can't deny though the lack of true competition in Qld

Rockhampton and Mackay are the definition of Central Queensland

yeah but they were both part of the previous "north" conference, with Cairns, Townsville and Gladstone
