Perth Wildcats @ Denver Nuggets live from Pepsi Center in Denver at 11am AEST, 10.30am SA & NT on ESPN and NBA League Pass.

I just hope the NBL initially screwed up the times and that's what I had and Boti has been running with all week otherwise this is a joke some shitty cartoon on Go and nothing on NBL TV either.

Well FWIW my EPG shows both 36ers and Wildcats as starting at the same time, which matches what the NBL have been tweeting

Apparently there was a bit of confusion initially, with the time zone differences. 36ers v Jazz tip off at 11am AEST.

Down by 12 at halftime but feels closer than that. Adelaide's depth is going to be exposed this year.

Loss of concentration always sinks in for NBL teams in the second and third terms - maybe it's the length of the game (in addition to the obvious talent disparity). Choppy fouls and turnovers open the gap up to a frustrating degree.

All in all a pretty good effort that followed the script of a lot of these games by blowing out after the half. Sobey will have put his name on a few lists to watch one would think.

This Sixers team is going to be right there again at the pointy end I suspect, 8 point game at 3QT.

Putting up 99 points on a great defensive team like the Jazz is a great achievement and at least we didn't disgrace ourselves like Perth.

Would've loved to see how this 36ers team would go against a non-playoff team from the NBA!

Embarrassing 4th qtr by Adelaide. NBL's reputation saved by Perth today.

The extra 8 minutes hurts. Last year United was helped in this way by recruiting several ring-ins.

Adelaide's performance today was very respectable, until they clearly ran out of energy during the 4th.

Jazz are hardly the same defensive team without Gobert, but let's not let facts get in the way of a perth dig

36ers far from embarrassing today from the portions I saw. About a gazillion times better than Perth went against the same opponent.

Adelaide did good, there bench is a bit shallow but in nbl should be ok.

On nba- nbl form United and Cats look to be most overrated, United looked average to poor and Perth smashed and ok against nuggets but there not a play off team. Sydney, Adelaide, NZ looking ok earl.

Nuggets were only like the 3rd team in nba history to miss the playoffs with their record last year, they are highly fancied as making it this year.

Adelaide lost their legs in the last quarter and considering their only used to 40 minute games it is understandable. But it was a very competitive game for the majority of it and I certainly don't have any shame about how they played, just sucked that they had to reach so deep into the bench at the end and have Frolling kind of flounder his way around out there.

I've always supported a return to 48 minutes but after these games I’m not so sure. The game did seem to extend out a long time, and in the NBL that time will just go to benchies.

Ok. Better DP's are part of the squad and not there. Many a player worthy of a shot and training with the squad with actual potential to play NBL are missing out as he "holds" his spot and lastly, I'll take a basketball player with game and iQ over X-Factor.

Larkins has been with the squad for five years now. He's rubbish at Premier League level but wears his 6ers shorts underneath his Centrals ones for some reason. When are you expecting him to show anything at NBL level?

Who cares who is travelling as 12th man. Only someone with an axe to grind.

Of all the games, the NBL put up a pretty good showing given how much bigger stronger and longer NBA teams are. I have watched both leagues for years, but until you see them face each other the special physical attributes needed to make an NBA squad are not so obvious.

Sobey looked comfortable on an NBA court that first half. He did nothing wrong with his stocks, but might have just missed his opportunities along the way. The biggest difference is the absolutely mammoth drop off between the 10th best player on an NBA squad and the tenth best and the sixth best on an NBL squad.

I though the biggest difference was the 8 whole extra minutes they expected professional basketballers to have to play without getting tired.

Larkins will continue to play and get minutes over others while his father continues to fund his time in adelaide and his road trips etc seems if your dad pays for stuff like flights and hotels you can play at any level

Lots of people, particularly young ballers with genuine potential in this state, care about that DP spot.
I personally have no axe to grind so you are way off there, don't know the kid or have a horse in that race. Just amazed he continues to get these opportunities with his skill set and game. Makes no sense to an educated outsider.

" though the biggest difference was the 8 whole extra minutes they expected professional basketballers to have to play without getting tired."

I sense sarcasm here but 8 minutes is not 8 minutes, it equates to half an hour if you hadn't noticed.

Same. I have nothing against the kid, but he has been a development player since forever and has never shown even an inkling of ever becoming a rotation player. Might be time to cut the thread and pick up a kid with a future in the game.

Gotta say the Advertiser's coverage over the past couple of days (all week in fact) has been excellent, with a reporter over there covering the game. Their feature on Joe Ingles and the one today about the lead-up to the game were brilliant.
