Perth v Cairns Dec 9

Once upon a time, 10 brave knights from the land of orange rode their unicorns to do battle with an evil 10 headed devil cat from Sandsville, and to rescue the princess trapped in the castle.

They couldn't afford unicorns and there was no Pablo Escobor to stable a horn to the head of a horse (yes, he did that for his daughter who wanted a unicorn), so they carried coconuts they had found on the beach, clapping them together as they travelled.

They entered the cave of the ten headed devil cat and were treated by 30,000 feral mini-devil cats screaming and hissing bad things at them. These mini-devils had sharp pointy teeth and bad breath. The orange knights did not yield under this pressure but bravely fought 5 at a time to battle the floppy devil cat. They battled with honour, but there were three green trolls running around on the battlefield and they made sounds from a metal toy and after 5 sounds from these trolls, the brave knights would fall to the sideline and unable to enter the battlefield again.

The orange knights battled bravely but in the end the evil devil cat tore them to pieces much to the delight of the mini devil cats, and their body parts were scattered to all parts of Sandsville as a warning to other knights not to dare rescue the beautiful princess.

Wildcats facebook:

"DEBUT ALERT!

17-year-old Stirling Senators product Wani Swaka Lo Buluk is suiting up for the first time today."

Is someone out? Or is he just suiting up as a DP on the end of bench?

Oh Dear God that was awful.

Sorry Jack, there were no brave knights.
More like sacrificial goats.

Steindl shot well, that was a highlight.

17yr old kid hit the final shot, 12,000 fans went batshit, that was the biggest cheer and pretty much the only excitement today.

If I'd had a pillow, probably would have fallen asleep.
I'm think Chanel 9 offered them money to move the game so they wouldn't be forced to televise it.

Never has an out-going NBL coach had more reason to say 'What did you expect!?'
To his credit Fearne has let his boosters say what needs to be said.
From today the Taipans’ board cannot claim a single credible advantage in axing a 50/50 head at their financially marginal programme.
What were they thinking?
Please ask Dennis Donaghy, who for so long wanted anyone but Aaron in control, and early in the season was foolish enough to gloat that Aaron should have followed the Donaghy dictum and pissed off after his last playoff appearance.
Presumptuous twat.
Which is to take nothing away from Kelly. He’s an eatraordinary guy.
The problem is, extraordinary isn’t enough.

Fearne is 1-10 with this roster too, please don't get it twisted. Gliddon, McCarron, Weeks were not staying regardless. Bash the snakes sure but leave Fearne out of this. The only difference would be Melo Trimble would be splitting 20 minutes court time and come off the bench for Jarrod Kenny. Much like Scoochie Smith and Trice did at times for Weeks, and Torrey Craig did fit Stevie Weigh.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle,

fruitless speculation on Fearne and Kelly, or who would’ve stayed or left. They looked better team wise yesterday offensively but still very poor on defence. Kelly is a smart man I’m glad they are giving him time to change it up. For all Trimble good offensive talent his defence is woeful and you don’t change that fast, Hall has been very disappointing and some off the other guys are past there best. They should aim at the youth a go now and see what they bring, I’d play both there DP, Young and Loe are giving you very little. Jurlina is a very good defender and Krislovic is a goer though slightly short for the five. Give Jurlina a run through the two three spot.

Yikes, that was a bit of a snoozefest of a game, happy with the win, but some woeful moments. Did get my free cheeseburger though!

Perth lineups were a bit interesting having White, Brandt and Martin coming off the bench, it worked and it really showed our depth.

Hire's somehow gotten a new lease of life going for every rebound, Steindl has finally got some rhythm and playing consistently, Martin 3/3 outside the arc. No doubt Cotton, Kay and White will be carrying us all season.

Bring on the Kings!

It also didn't help that everyone in the arena knew what the result would be before they even walked in.
I just feel sorry for the Taipans at this point and that ain't going to amp me up. Plus the t-shirt cannon that faces my way got off as many good shots as Rob Loe.
FML.
