just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this years season. whos coaching where? which players have moved?
heard through the grapevine that South women and henley High's Girls team had a game prior to there nationals last month and henley nearly topped them off while south had Molly McKendrick playing that day.
Saw yesterday Brook isn't playing for Sturt, North have lost a few starters due to retirement, Thompson apparently playing netball but not sure if that’s during PL season, sure a few other Lightning players will go interstate too.

Where is Chelsea Brook going? I thought I saw her named in Sturts reserves teams over the summer.
Brook wont be featuring in Sturt's Reserves campaign for the rest of the summer, may just be seen playing YL.
Not a great deal of love lost between the parties involved, contracts/coaches etc.
Strut squad suggests they are going with juniors plus a few. Losing Brook won't be good unless they have an import coming in. Have a bit of height in their juniors but not super tall.
I take it Forestville are playing their U20s and 18s, plus a few "oldies" Wouldn’t they be losing a few to college during the season? Three at least including 2 starters. Can’t see them being carried by their U18s like last year. Losing Thompson wouldnt help either.
North still the team to beat.

Matt Sutton looks to be the coach of the Pioneers. They have one signing and so will be working very hard to get a team together. Probably a hard task to rustle up a team in a short time frame.
Eagles have already announced their only import.
Where did they announce it? No news on the Facebook page. Unless you meant Jake?

Eastern have picked up Stephanie Ratliff from Southern and are also getting Carmen Tyson Thomas back
Centrals have both imports back plus their big centre. Just need a player or two to get off the bottom.

Sturt lost Jordan Hunter to west, and Chelsea Brooks to Victorian team. No bigs in the team at all

I think North will be okay this year. They lost some starters but the young ones +Opal & friend to step up now
Sturt have enough bigs hanging around. Now a good opportunity for them to get court time. Will see their U18 tall get a fair bit of time also. Whilst not a 5 will be too agile for most.
The eagles are the one with bigs trouble now that Liv is gone. Next in line is off to college I believe. Can't see them getting back to the level of last year. North still the favourite.

Eagles rumoured to be getting imports to replace Liv Thompson and Sam Simons. Chelsea Brooks moved from Norwood to Eagles.
Loosing one other junior to College.

That was a very quick stop, given she was at last at Sturt... Maybe you have your Chelsea's mixed up?
It will be a good opportunity for more decent Eagles' juniors this year, but with all their core players off to College + Liv allegedly not playing they won't be nearly as good.

south will be looking for finals after recruiting the prized shooting gun jordan smith
Not sure the eagles have the juniors to replace the 3 going to college and Liv. Roberts will be very handy but not so their next group of kids. Can't see any of them being good enough to make a case for decent court time until the 3 leave - which must be of concern. Might be why the import rumour is flying around. Even then, what do they look for. Would have to be a big.
