Bogut Re-Signs with Kings

Bogut has re-signed with the Sydney Kings according to Olgun.

Which is surprising considering all the people in the below thread who insisted he was still under contract

The wording was suprising considering all the media etc when he signed last year said it was a multiple years. It was never "ONE YEAR ONLY WITH THE KINGS"

He had to be released to go to the nba, allowing his kings contract to be broken, the kings had to agree to this. Bogut gave them assurances that he would be be back, he kept his word and resigned a new contract.

And the Kings released him to be able to sign with the Warriors

He re-committed, not re-signed. The Kings didn't release him; lots of players play with overseas teams during off-seasons

That's not how it works, it’s not football where you can loan out players, he was released by the kings and then resigned.

He "re-committed to his existing contract"? I don't think so. How is that news?

"Hey everybody, great news. That guy that was already under contract and has no out clauses has decided to play with us again this season!"

Arguing over technicalities it must be school holidays.
Bogut is back.
That is all.

So was it essentially a handshake deal to come back after his NBA stint? If so are any of the terms of the contract different?

Does he still get a 25% discount on Kings merch and the right to put on the game worn Steve Carfino jersey in the Kings office whenever he feels like it?

Interesting video Bogut posted on twitter

Casper already in town and training with Kings- obviously he's not playing TBT this year.

Pretty sure Casper usually arrived to United a bit later than this. It seems unusual a marquee import putting in a full 10 week (or more) pre season, yes?

Casper said he was playing TBT on YouTube. Something must've changed?

Pretty sure Casper's TBT team plays this weekend so maybe going back for it? Also interesting that he's not staying in the Drew League for a bit longer this year if he is here to do a preseason

Remember when CJ got out of his contract to play OS.
Every player that goes and plays for any side in thre world gets a clearance to play elsewhere. BA rule. He gave his word he would return to the Kings and there fore he re signed effectively a new contract.
