New Association?

If you do some searching on the ASIC website, you will find that there is a pending application for an incorporated association named "United Melbourne Tigers Basketball". What is that about?

yes it's there for United Melbourne Tigers Basketball Club but can’t find when it was added. Maybe a 'merge’ is on its way because Melbourne is no longer ‘United’

No way would we want Melbourne United's rich history and brand identity tarnished by changing the name? Where did they come up with "Tigers" isnt that the AFL team??

Melbourne's girls and boys are run separately. Perhaps this is a way to unify them?

Excuse my ignorance, as I'm not from Victoria: why are they run separately?

Most likely political issues as to why Tigers boys and girls are run separately.
