Rumour was during the off season they were after Long.
Then supposedly they were also talking to Oliver!
OMG, can you imagine it?
Every Sydney cheating Thread would be followed by a Perf one.
But even without one of those guns, even adding somebody better than Hunt would make them scary.
To me, thats the worry. Sydney bring in Cooks, and Perth and Melbourne respond.
Next season will be Perth's year, 3 imports plus cotton and Kay.

Except they were never going to happen.
I can tell you for a fact that Perth never went after Long, they couldn't afford him.
Plus the reason Oliver went to Cairns was money.
It seems most teams, including Perth are doing their best to comply with the 5 man cap. That why they had Cooke, and last year nobody. With their local talent, Hunt had to be a bargain import to fit within the cap.
