Are there any good examples anyone knows of a player playing lower than their top state league in juniors going onto college/NBL??
Example like a Metro4 player in VJBL ending up playing College. Be nice to be able to give kids relatable examples, not everyone can be Simmons/Exum

didn't Luke Schenscher play in Div 3 for Tigers (about VJBL 4-5) play in a NCAA Div 1 title game in front of 40,000 and played NBA.
If Schenscher wasn't 7 2 he was less than div 3. No skills, just tall, a Manute Bol without the 3 point shot!

I recall playing against Schenscher in div 4 16's. He wasn't very skilled back then however he was about a foot taller than everyone else so could continue to shoot until he got it in.
Regardless of what some idiots said above, he developed some good skills especially with his footwork and had a decent career in the NBL and played a little in the NBA which was well deserved at the time.

Pretty harsh since Schenscher also had a lot of back problems. It was painful watching him hobble along at times during his Wildcats stint which was only midway through a pro career.

Schensher was a sick player. He would reject any crap around the rim.

I think Ezi Magbegor played most of her juniors with a Coburg team that made VC- Reserve in Under 14s, but played Metro 2 in Under 16s.
