Bogut signing to be revealed tomorrow

Bogut is expected to announce where he will be playing tomorrow at 10 am on his "Rogue Bogues" podcast, and by the looks of things, it wont be in Sydney.

Bogut posted the following on his Twitter:

"Police cars revolving lightUpcoming Emergency PodcastPolice cars revolving light
Breaking announcement by
@andrewbogut
on where he will be signing for the upcoming season BasketballBasketballBasketball

10am AEST tomorrow.
Exclusively on the
@RogueBogues
Podcast"

The tweet was retweeted by Sydney Kings owner Paul Smith with the following comment:

"Don't @ me. Bogues is his own person, wherever Andrew chooses to play they will be lucky to have him, as were
@SydneyKings|

Interesing use of the word "were". Paul is either intentionally trolling, or Bogut is no longer a King, and likely forgoes his ownership in the Sydney Kings to play elsewhere.

At this point he is living in Melbourne. United are the obvious choice if he is to play anywhere next season. The NBA is clearly beyond him at this point of his career, and I can't imagine him uprooting his family to play in Europe for a season or two.

Looks to me like Bogut is going to end his career with Melbourne United.

United would be the favourites but SEM maybe an outside chance if they throw in some incentives off the court also?

Wouldn't be too out of the norm for Smith and Bogut just to be talking shit also. He could also sit out the season and prepare for Tokyo.

Sem could have done a stash deal. Lots of point guards that won't fit on nba teams this year.

NS / Adnam / Gibson
Gliddon / Stephens
Creek / TeRangi
Moore / Wetzell
Bogut / Pineau

I always felt after his 2 year contract with the Kings ended Bogut would go back to Melbourne and likely sign with SE Melb.

When Bogut was negotiating with United before he signed with the Kings he had a falling out with Vince Crivelli their CEO so I can't see him signing with them even though he would be a good replacement for Long. It looks like he's done with the Kings though.

He and Chris Paul are more or less the last two from the 2005 draft still playing at all if he plans to play. Not bad for a guy whose career has been riddled with a few major injuries.

He's not going to south east. Tommy and Simon both have said they are looking at a pg.

Depends on the ns. a Jones or winston or Mays is better than an adnam.

Curtley - Ilyasova and Lou Williams still playing. Gerald Green? Thought Gortat was still going but nothing since 2019-20. Mahinmi still with a team, I think.

Why not have both.
I think it's gotta be United with Lual Acil as back up he won't have to play major minutes and frees up import spot in case of injury

@ #968 - MU's roster is worth significantly less than Perth, Sydney and New Zealand. The idea that they just splash the cash is outdated and simply incorrect.

None of us know the terms of the contract he signed with the Kings but it was said at the time he would get a 10% ownership share of the Kings upon retirement. As he hasn't retired yet and doesn't look like he is maybe he won't get that share until he finishes playing wherever that may be.

Disappointed if Melbourne Utd end up with Bogut and Hopson for hope of competitive-ness, i'd rather Hopson head to Adelaide or Brisbane.

If not Sydney then its probably Melbourne.

But wasn't there some bad blood between Bogut and MU?

Someone saying something about United's offer to Bogut.

Bogut at his age would still dominate in Croatia, it's a no money league. The aba is stronger though and more profitable. Croatia has four teams in the aba if memory serves me correct.

Well, it wont be any teams in Melbourne

https://www.news.com.au/sport/basketball/will-andrew-bogut-return-to-the-sydney-kings-or-join-another-club/news-story/1d1eab1a3ce937c15768a17ddb912f6c

Matt Logue has said that he hasn't heard anything from any NBL team about Bogut signing, which gives credence to my Croatian suggestion

But then again, they could have kept him re-signing in Sydney on the downlow.
