PER v BNE Mar 5

With 4 wins in a row, the Perth Pussycats stroll into this game like a rich white private school boy strolls into their Dad's den expecting a black Audi for their 16th birthday. They go into games expecting to win. The Brisbun 36ers could ruin the party and run a key down the side panel to take the win, but that's as likely as Scomo wearing a Hawaiian shirt in public ever again.

We're getting closer to a loss in this cup, it'll just take one team to shoot lights out and it could be Brisbane.

Have Brisbane got anyone that can guard Cotton? Can see him going for 40+ easy

Have Brisbane got anyone who can guard anyone? Lemanis has done great things as a coach, but he keeps putting together Brisbane teams that lack speed and athleticism, and that impacts their D.

"Have Brisbane got anyone that can guard Cotton? Can see him going for 40+ easy"

Playing 3 games in 6 days may be enough to drop his minutes ever so slightly. He seems incredibly fit though with all the running off screens he does.

I hope this is the game Steindl steps up to provide a spark.
Too much reliance on the big 3 of Cotton, Mooney and Blanchfield.

Travers should come off the bench behind Wagstaff.

Not enough credit going to Blanchfield, been very solid at both ends. Brisbane will be hard to beat imo, rotate there three bigs on Mooney and try get him into foul trouble. Gleeson v Lemanis on the side lines pulling the strings also I'll be watching. The subs and working the refs could decide this. Cotton the difference, Perth by two.

Yeah I think Blanchfield has been the unsung guy getting clutch offensive boards, clutch 3's and those little floaters he does are always money.

In regards to Wagstaff starting, I think we need his scoring punch off the bench. Travers starts see if he can produce, if not then Wagstaff comes in to pick up the slack, it's good experience for him although it seems like his confidence is shot especially when Sherville is playing better than him at the moment.

Jervis is underrated player. Perth shouldn't cut him when they get the other import signed after cotton becomes a citizen

Perth had a shocker and are only down 4. Cotton usually plays well in the second half's.

Cotton is far from a protected species. If every foul against him was called he be shooting 30 free throws a game.

When two opposing players cross each other in fast motion it feels like I'm watching an old Melbourne Tigers intra-squad scrimmage.

Exhibit A of the stupidity of the NBL Cup.

Perth had to choose between safely winning the quarter and gambling on winning the game. Brisbane should have fouled on the last possession to try and win the quarter, which would have risked losing the game.

None of this should count towards the actual season.

Holding a cup within a league and said cup counting towards the league, and not holding its own final, never made any sense. Classic NBL.

Poor bench effort from the cats 14 points to Brisbanes 25 points. Too reliant on the starting five.

How did you determine that Perth had a choice to make that didn't involve winning the game?

I hope this year is the last time we see this NBL cup format. Aside from the ridiculous points system, there's no reason to give Melbourne teams even more advantage than they already have.

Cotton clearly not a protected species, at all. Refs clearly reacting to the public (east coast) discourse. No way any MVP of another league gets that treatment. Guy can't even get open at times because he is getting assaulted out there. That is despite the picks, the fact he is faster and fitter than almost everyone. Perth almost minus 10 again on fta, cost them this time though!!
