Next seasons rosters - free agency

Righto - the day after the NBL season finishes, will miss the regular games on tv and have enjoyed the season. It has been high-quality basketball.

Being in Tasmania I'm interested in the roster the Jackjumpers will put together as well as other teams' rosters.

This site has a good summary:

http://aussiehoopla.com/nbl-free-agent-tracker/

Think free agency starts on Monday, will be intriguing who goes where.

Reckon time to judge teams rosters will be when the majority of players are signed - realise this is a way off.

I've also got a contract tracker up on SpatialJam.com (https://spatialjam.com/contracttracker)

I've gone through each player's contract individually to make sure the info is correct because NBL press releases etc often don't contain the actual details of the deals.

I've added a transaction tracker underneath the table too. I don't post 'rumours' on the site though - every transaction in the feed contains a link to the reference press release as confirmation.

It's different from the Aussie Hoopla one, you might find it more or less useful depending on your preferences I guess. Just thought I'd post it here as another option.

And yes, free agency starts 48hrs after the Finals are done.

'when the majority of players are signed - realise this is a way off.'

Should it be that far off? Do we expect the season to return to an October start question mark that would only be about 15 weeks away.

I know the FA season always started 2 weeks after the last GF game. I can only assume its 2 days now because if the season shift. I don't believe the NBL has announced this anywhere.

McCarron is the only NBL guy that could serve as a "marquee" signing for the JackJumpers. If they can't get him they’ll absolutely need to land a guy currently overseas like a Morin or Delly.

Has anyone actually seen an announcement on when F/A starts?

I always thought that generally the league gives teams time to re-sign their players first??

Perth have only 3 contracted, with an option, so I would expect that to change before F/A kicks off.

@Andrew Brice

"I've also got a contract tracker up on SpatialJam.com (https://spatialjam.com/contracttracker)"

Great work, love the colour!

Luke Travers info is incorrect. He was only in the 1st year of contract this season, he has two more to go. (Possibly a 3rd year mutual option??)
He was a DP on a one year deal last season, he then signed a 3yr extension, with one year as a DP (this season) and two as a full contract.

JVG better get cracking! Not much to get excited about on the free agents list and the Sixers only have DJ, Dech and Sotto on the roster right now!

Priority #1 should be resigning Humphries. Not liking what I'm hearing about the Sixers backing out of his 2nd year! Big risk to take when there is stuff all to replace him with! Would like to retain Jack as well and possibly Pinder, but depends on what other mobile bigs are available.

Of the free agent Aussies listed, pickings look slim for the Sixers needs. If Humphries can't be retained, need to chase Magnay, Lual-Acuil or Wetzell. I highly doubt any of them are prised away from their current clubs though.

Obviously McCarron would be a good get. Would be interested in Cooks and Galloway. Would be nice to bring Newley home, but not if it prevents us from putting together a playoff level team.

Could look at Isaac White and Joel Spear for some SA flavour on the bench I guess.

Not feeling confident that we'll have a team worth watching next season right now. Prove me wrong JVG!
