Home Basketball setup - Tips/ideas

I'm after some advice as to best product and place to buy for home basketball ring/backboard. I've got a decent flat concrete space and kids are 8 & 10 so looking for adjustable height unit that is also portable. Budget about $500.

Is Rebel a good store to use or is there a better option. Any brands to favour/avoid? Thanks.

'Budget about $500.'

My set up cost around that including concreting it in the ground. Spalding is the every day go to ones, rather than Rebel do you have any independent type all around sports stores? Rebel, Jim Kidd's etc don't really seem to have enough range to choose from.

Good place to start to find which model you want, but then look around for specials because I reckon I've seen most of these much cheaper.

We used Spalding outside, which was good. Even better, when the backboard cracked after 3 years, they were happy to replace it.

I avoid Rebel whenever I can - way overpriced!! There are often local sports stores or associations who can help you get what you want cheaper.

That's good to know! I went with an inground system which I've had in the ground for 2 years and still seems as sturdy as day 1. I'm pretty sure Spalding replace the ground sleeve too if you ever move house.
