Remaining roster spots NBL

Adelaide
Have 1 import and 1 local spot remaining.
King as NS.

Brisbane have a full roster with Digbeu as NS.

Cairns are full but there is a chance Oliver may not return. They currently have no NS.

Illawarra are full and Jessup is listed as NS but it's not confirmed he will be back. Coenraad is signed as an injury replacement but at this stage there is no injuries lol.

Melbourne are full although Jack White is still injured, not sure if they will replace him or upgrade a DP. Hukporti is their NS.
Interestingly they only have 1 import.

New Zealand have 1 roster spot remaining which can be local or import.
Already a stacked roster with Dieng as their NS.

Perth still have 1 import and 2 local spots remaining. Still need a starting centre and a backup shooting guard. Plus an 11th man.
As yet Perth have no NS.

SEM have 2 spots left both imports. Although Chinese player Zhou Qi is linked to one of the spots ( would be classed as a local though). No NS player either.

Sydney are full with Makur Maker as the NS.
Lo Buluk is the injury replacement player for Vasilijevic.

Tassie have a full roster with their Russian NS.

Limited local spots available

"which other locals are left ?"

http://aussiehoopla.com/nbl-free-agent-tracker/ has a list of signings and movements, including who's not signed from last year's rosters. Seems to be up to date list and may help you.

Off the top of my head local FA's left from last season's rosters:

Daniel Dillon, Sixers
Brendan Teys, Sixers
Alex Mudronja, Sixers
Jack Purchase, Sixers
Tom Jervis, Wildcats
Venky Jois, Taipans
George Blagojevic, Taipans
Matt Hodgson, Bullets
Dexter Kernich-Drew, Kings
Cameron Bairstow, Hawks
Max Darling, Hawks
David Andersen, United
Kendall Stephens, Phoenix
Adam Gibson, Phoenix
Mike Karena, Phoenix

You can rule out the Breakers (signing Hugh Besson as the final import), and one of Perth's locals (Liam mentioned Jonah Antonio from Wake Forest).

So essentially there are 2 local spots left - one in Perth and one in Adelaide.

Barring Hodgson, these guys form the elite of the Dalit caste of the NBL.

Lead superbly by Bairstow, Jois and special mention to Deng Adel.

Really surprised Perth has effectively 4 spots remaining (including NS).

A few serviceable names remaining on the locals list (which is missing Dan Trist but he's not one of the serviceable ones).

Hodgson clearly the biggest contributor.
Have Gibbo and Cam Bairstow retired?
Is Deng Adel still in the country?
Is Kendall Stephens fit and worth another shot?

With Jessup possibly back, what are the chances of all teams having a NS (only Cairns, Perth and SEM have vacancies)?

Gibson and Bairstow are always injured, Adel has shown his worth. Stephens is not much good. Trist is play div two Spain.

Bairstow seems to be perennially injured
not sure anybody is going to gamble much on him

At this point, I assumed Hodgson was headed to Japan, as rumoured.

Brandon Miller possibly taipans or Phoenix as a ns.
I still think we will see Gapare at phoenix, maybe as a dp though.

He's already in Auckland the Breakers just haven’t made an official announcement on social media yet.

Don't think the breakers can sign beeson yey because he would be eligible to be a Next Star player. They have already signed Dieng as there next star. I think Beeson will be allocated to one of the other teams that don't have a Next star like Cairns.

Perth I think will sign Antonio.
Max Darling is linked to them but could also join NZ Breakers.

If Perth don't sign Darling I wonder if they will go after an Asian player. Or they will sign another young local.

Danny Mills has stated in a podcast that Perth are looking at next star options but obviously no names mentioned.

I wouldn't have excepted Hodgson from your analysis LoveBroker. He showed promise once upon a time but now he is a 30 year old walking foul that seems to lose his spot in the rotation to his backup every season.

Re: the Besson comments - given he's already in Auckland, I wouldn't be surprised if the Breakers delayed the signing because of the continuing Auckland lockdown. Would be bizarre to announce his signing with a press release without the opportunity for media interviews and the like, especially since he's onshore.

Funny to think of Gibbo and Bear as Coenraad-like injury replacements given their own injury histories.

Adelaide look to finish the roster with either Purchase or DJ Mitchell and an import 4/5 that gets released in the coming weeks from an NBA roster.

Besson isn't a next star he’s signed as NZ’s second Import. They’re only running with x2 and will have one spot up their sleeve.

I think that'd work.

Focus minutes:

C/PF (80)
Humphries 25/DJ 25/Import 25; 5mins based on fatigue/fouls/form between them

PG/SG/SF (120)
McCarron 30/Hannahs 25/Withers 25/Dech 25/King 5/Duffelmeier 5; 5mins based on fatigue/fouls/form between them

Have a main rotation of 7 players; King/Duffel limited minutes; Malou, Sotto, backup Aussie big virtually no minutes.

I don't think King moved to Adelaide to get 5 mins a game. He will get sufficient playing time and not rot on the bench like at Cairns.

Hugo Besson is in Auckland and it's been all over French media, which Besson has retweeted himself: https://mobile.twitter.com/SQBB_Officiel/status/1415630757758910468/photo/1

I am guessing that the Breakers will do a big press conference with Dieng and Besson together. Siva is in country too already.

Not sure why Breakers would sign Antonio when they have Bach and Besson already as bench guards.

Adelaide 2 spots remaining. 1 local and 1 import.
Cairns. Will need import if Oliver leaves.
New Zealand 1 spot remaining local or import.
Perth 2 spots remaining. 1 local and 1 import.
SEM have 1 spot remaining possible import.
