The team is ok, will need 2 stud imports to be competitive.

Team is mediocre, Mathiang is an unknown, Froling will have to step up. Will the Hawks owners continue to spend?

I hope you're right Saint23 and the Hawks do get Craig Randall as he's a splitting image of Tyler Harvey. They have the same shooting action and a nice floater. He's averaging 26pts over 27games this season with a season high of 48pts.

Naar signed at Den Bosch in Holland. BNXT league, Dutch and Belgian competition. Reasonable quality, while no one of the top leagues it will be a pay rise for him.

I think Naar would just be happy to be able to get some on court playing time if nothing else...

Think Illawarra will be something like
Import PG/Mudronja/Dent
Harvey/Local
Swaka Lo Buluk/Grida
Import 3/4/Deng
Froling/Mathiang/Gak

Plus a next star possibly

Can't see Froling or Mathiang playing the four, this roster at present certainly not top four, probably top six just.
Naar should do well and get good time over there, it’s about nbl1 south level, could open up better opportunities next season if has a good year.

I doubt Swak is going from starting SF on a championship team to third string SG for the Hawks!

Could be nothing in it, or could be that Adelaide figured they might as well pinch him if the Hawks are going a bit cheaper this season.

Looks like a serious scorer. Adelaide taking a risk again in not giving McCarron much help? Don't like the balance of Dech being a back up point guard, even if just on paper.

Np, yup. More so just exploring how reliance on McCarron and a combo guard might work with Dech likely being the other option. Teams need to be clever with rotations when both primary ball handlers are starters. Even if the import starts at the 1 and McCarron at the 2, it's still the same thing. Basically relying on three combo guards to run the team.

Not to turn a hawks thread about their imports into another Adelaide thread...

Certainly am not jumping the gun over social media following, but same reasons apply if a combo guard type is the import.
