Cullen free to play this week.

From Fox Sports

SYDNEY player Ian Crosswhite and Hunter rival Geordie Cullen have been fined for their stoush in the National Basketball League (NBL) match in Newcastle, New South Wales, on Sunday night.

The NBL tribunal found both players guilty of fighting, with Cullen copping a $1250 fine and Crosswhite docked $1000.

The verdict was delivered today after the charges were heard by tribunal chairman Ken Madsen by telephone yesterday.

The Kings won 134-96, but the match was marred by the brawl in the final stages

Cullen and Crosswhite were ejected from the game after the incident.

How were they not suspended for that? It was pretty similar to the Ray Allen one in the NBA. Lots of punches thrown but very few connected. Very soft penalty specially seeing as stacker got what? 10 grand for abusing the refs?

They were my thoughts exactly! So these days you can punch someone in the NBL knowing you'll just have to cop a fine! Put Reesey back in the time, give him a chance before he retires to go around whacking a few blokes, god knows he owes a couple!

If there are fines involved there is no way Reesy will be hitting anyone. He gets severe convulsions and pains any time his hand even goes close to his pocket.

Lucky to get away with that, and compared to what other sports fine their players, that is not much of a financial issue for them either.
