I wonder if the same applies to members of the Lithuanian national team ?

For those who couldn't be bothered reading the articles, it's because of insurance issues.

Boomers players are only insured to the amount of the maximum salary in the NBL which wasn't enough for Nielsen's Lithuanian team, AFAIK.

This is not very impressive. If we cant put our best team on the court at the worlds we might as well not turn up.

I don't suppose we had similar problems getting Kewell to play Soccer for us? We found the money there I am sure.

Disgraceful.

there was actually a article on the socceroos and player insurance week out from the world cup seems the high profile players, kewell, viduka, bresciano etc... paid the difference that wasnt covered with the FFA
