ESPN gives Adelaide a wrap !
after getting up early and watching Connecticut live on Sunday morning (4.30) I nearly fell off my chair - stiries about Erin's mum at the supermarket and saying hello over international TV to Adelaide basketball fans!
ESPN acknowledged first Sun game broadcast this season and gave erin a big wrap - 'she would make a starter in lesser teams" and big speel on Aussies in WNBA - woah ! well done girls
connecticut was the phoeniz though - absoloutely rising from the ashes !
down 19 points early in the 3rd (48-29) - they won by 5 !
in front of 10,000 odd fans !
erin got plenty of the ball - but missed some crucial shots - made up for it with tenacious D and good assists
laura - had to guard Tarausi (what a job!) when she was running hot!
penny taylor came off the bench (1st game back for a while)but missed an open 3 late in the game - great to see you back Penny!
Snelly did not hit the paint
So our girls only played run of the mill (IMO) in a big game - they did not do anything wroong, but did not stand out as well - great game thoough
Pondexter and Sales' injuries both affected the teams offence - yet we still had a high scoring game
