ABA Mens Results, what it all means for the finals

Norwood shot themselves in the foot against Southern.

Now Norwood must beat West and hope North beat Woodville.

Norwood win against West
North win against Woodville
North thru 4th
Norwood thru head to head against Woodville
Woodville out

Norwood win against West
Woodville win against North
Woodville thru
North thru head to head against Flames
Norwood out

The Eagle have the head to head over the Sabres should they tie.
Woodville have the head to head over Eastern should they tie and Eastern over North.
(Sturt Eagles of course) North & Eastern can´t miss the finals.

Sturt 18w 3l vs South
Eagles 17w 4l vs Eastern
Eastern 13w 8l vs Eagles
Woodville 12w 9l vs North
North 12w 9l vs Woodville
Norwood 11w 10l vs West

How come North cant miss the finals but woodville can...? i believe they are equal in points..?

It is explained in detail above. Norwood has the head to head over Woodville should they tie, then Woodville would be out(that is why the are not secure). North has the head to head over Norwood so even if they tie with Norwood they can not miss the finals.
If Woodville win and Eastern lose the Woodville would be third Eastern fourth North fifth.

My understanding is that if north, woodville and norwood tie the result would go on games played between the 3 teams North would be1/2 against woodville and 3/0 against norwood 4/2 overall. Woodville would be 2/1 over north and 1/1 with norwood for 3/2 overall. norwwod therefore would only be 1/5 overall so unless this isn't the system. Norwood are out.

Yes , Norwood desperately need North to beat Woodville next week to finish 5th and knock out Woodville.Thats providing Norwood can beat West?. If the Woods win and Eastern lose to Forestville then woods end up 3rd and Eastern 4th. North are guaranteed a finals spot regardless of the results next weekend.Woodville are playing for their playoff lives and will pull out all stops to win.North are playing for a home final against Norwood. Eastern are playing for double chance finals and are more than capable of beating Forestville again. Should be a long and nervous week in the Flames and Warriors camps. My tip is a Woodville win and an early Summer holiday for the Flames

Off Course. If North win it will only be a 2 way tie and Norwood have the split on Woodville.
Woodville must win to remain in the title race. The fainals have come early for them.
