The request line is open

What tunes are people wanting to hear this year at the dome?

remember too that it is a family show and so the lingo of the tunes needs to be tame.

Thanks

Here's some "old-school" stuff

Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry
Rush - Big Audio Dynamite
Dumb Things - Paul Kelly (for Brian)

or anything from that great Adelaide duo "ACOUSTICALLY INCORRECT"

If Ja Rule gets played at 36ers games I will personally track you down Brad and tie you to a post at Norwood parade and let Isaac ram the spikes on the front of his Ferrari into you.

Same applies to any of Matt Ryan's suggestions.

  • Hilltop Hoods Clown Prince
  • Hilltop Hoods The Hard Road (Come on music man, I went to A-league the other night and they thrashed out the whole album pre-game. No excuse to only play The Nosebleed section, which people can't clap their hands to. #1 album in Aus, they have other hits too. Both Hilltop suggestions are singles with radio edits).
  • The Catch Phrase instrumental (mentioned above) on the single will be great beat to get the crowd involved. Was a top 15 Aria single.
  • Resin Dogs Definition (Was featured in the Fifa World Cup game 2006. Has an awesome jazzy clap-along instrumental on the EP).
  • Koolism Koolism is (I've suggested it last year, and you didn't use it, but I'm going to post it again as it's an awesome song off an Aria award winning album).
  • For some old school tunes, why not play "A roller skating jam named Saturdays" by De La Soul during a Saturday night game.
  • I don't love the song but "It's about to blow" by DJ Peril could seriously get people hyped.
  • Local Adelaide boy Delta's "Mayday" would be nice. Loud horns thru the PA system would sound great.
  • Pump ya fist by DMX..instrumental would be great.

John Lee Hooker - Boom Boom Listen to it and you'll know what I mean.
BB King: When love comes to town (Live at the Apollo) way different to U2 version - up tempo out-of-your-seat stuff

A different tact: start of: Guns n Roses "welcome to the jungle" great before introductions! Goosebumps!

I like Matt Ryans suggestion. It would go off if the Music Man could get the whole crowd into it......

The Powerhouse crowd just needs to be brought back to start with! :P Now we're the Dome crowd.

Amazingly I also agree with Matt Ryan's song.

Who would've thought he'd join a music thread without posting his usual list.

I would like to hear played the Roots with Cody Chestnut, The Seed, and De La Soul, 3 is the magic number. also anything off of the new Hilltops album would probaly go down alright.

Yeah thanks Shaun. Wasn't at Hilltops, was going to buy in a group but despite my warning the person sent to buy, he went to purchase too late.

Seen them, and other acts many a time anyway, hoping Muph and Plutonic tour for their upcoming album now.

How were the Funkoars before the Hilltops set?

Make sure you keep playing the classics like "They Hey Song" by Garry Glitter, and "The Chicago Bulls Them song" from the Alan Parsons Project.

Also i think you should bring back "Moskau" I guarantee the guys behind you about 8 rows back will get into it.

Classic.
