36ers points available...?

Based on the sixers signing Farley, Reese and Williams how many points would that leave us to get a big man? Is this a factor in who we can sign?

Good topic. 66 points is the max. These would be my guesses:

Maher: 5 (10, capped at 5)
Farley: 10
Rychart: 10 (could be a 9, but I doubt it)
Rees: 4
Nash: 6
Holmes: 5 (7, capped at 5)
Forman: 5
BWilliams: 6?
Ng: 4

Total: 55.

One spot to fill, and 11 points to do it in, so unless my Brad Williams or Paul Rees estimates are out, then we have no restriction. Also, Ng is an assumption. And Nash's 6 is a bit of a guess, but it's what I've heard.

The Sixers will fare well under the cap as long as our top player is a 5, and newcomers are retained to keep them at 5 (Holmes and Forman).

i think rees would be worth more than a 4..the guy has won 4 (or 5) nbl championships..and i dont think they are going to devalue him that quickly just because he is getting old...my guess would be a minumum of 6.

Jacob Holmes averaged 13 and 8 last year and is a 7 brought down to 5. Rees barely got off the bench for the Bullets last year. He might get ranked as a 5, but I doubt it'd be a 6.

Either way, we're not restricted to a rookie!
