'Adelaide Earthquake' has got a great ring to it, may be the perfect replacement team name for '36ers' which is very old school and dated. Alternatively could be the name for the second SA team?? Any support?

36ers used to feel like such a heritage name for such a club with a good culture and good history.
Now it seems it doesnt deserve the name
the 6ers sucked from the momemt brett maher left. in the early 00's they had some great teams... now when we think of the name '36ers' we think perennial underachieverds and shoddy imports. I think a change of name would be good, but naming a team 'eathquake' on the basis of like , a 3.3m, and 5.1 m earthquakes within 2 years of eachother is a bit of a laugh. more like 'the adeliade infrequently occuring, moderate and barely even noticable earth tremors'

we should try and get Quit to be naming rights sponsor like they used to be for the lightning. it's the perfect description of our 4th quarter displays.

Strewth, I'm glad some of you guys don't live in Boston. The Celtics haven't changed name or uniform for about 600 years!
Psst....the quakes were 3.3 and 3.8...if we had a 5.1 anywhere near the metro area there would be significant widespread damage, with potential for serious injuries/death

"leave the name alone fellas".......how ironic you used the word FELLAS as that name change from the lightning was probably the worst ever and a clear lesson in why not to change anything!! do collingwood change there name when they are struggling as a team?......NO.....thats our name and that is who we are, this current group just need to play better for the name while they wear that jersey!
Gate prices are nearly $36 guess the name has some meaning

Change the name? You have got to be joking. Atleast the name has the history of 4 championships, the history of the great names that were a part of the team and the history of the great coaches that made it happen. The team in the last 3 years has been so appalling, you want to wipe away all the good from the past and start with nothing. Its the best way to kill the club altogether. The history of the club is the glue that makes it stick together.
