Also:

In additional news, fellow Dodo Director and Tigers Board Member, Larry Kestelman, has been endorsed to take on the role of Chairman of the Board, with the change to be ratified at a scheduled board meeting early next week.
Nothing juicy in the web article so don't feel like you're missing much if you don't read it.

This move saves the Tigers going through a whole lot of PR nightmares during the off season.. a bunch of players asking to be released, this might save them. Maybe.

It's about time - as a former Tigers employee I can say unequivocally that this is the best move for the Tigers, replacing both CEO and Chairman with successful businessman who are both extremely passionate about the Tigers.

Next step is to buy out Seamus' shares and remove him from the board. Send him off into retirement (there has been talk about him moving back to Ireland) with a nice gold watch, thank him for saving the organisation from the scrapheap, and move the club back into being a professionally run outfit.

If Slepoy bursts into the locker room and gives any one a spray at least they wont understand him....

Andrew Gaze talking about Seamus departing was hilarious, babbled and stuttered his way through talking about how great he has been. Very entertaining!

A change of CEO's was all that was needed to break a 6 game losing streak for the Tigers, imagine how much good the 36ers could do replacing their coach.

Some more shocking news on the Tigers board/leadership changes...

Melbourne newspapers report that disgraced former Melbourne Storm head honcho Brian Waldron is expected to be named as the Tigers new supremo!

Apparently he is good friends with Seamus and has good 'connections'....

EC, I hope that's a joke.

It's about time they did that, first they let Corletto go to accommodate for Mills and look what happened to both of those guys, Mills left and Corletto has been amazing for the breakers and he fired one of their best players in Ubaka.

Slepoy a full time tiger: http://www.theage.com.au/sport/basketball/slepoy-a-fulltime-tiger-20120204-1qyz3.html

Ex-Melbourne Storm boss Waldron at Melbourne Tigers: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/ex-melbourne-storm-boss-waldron-at-nbl-club-melbourne-tigers/story-e6frfglf-1226262757691

Waldron has been on the board for three months, attracting sponsors and attending every game in a non-paid capacity.

He is a friend of Seamus McPeake, a co-owner of the National Basketball League club.

I wonder how long Waldron will last if the Dodo fellas buy out all of Seamus' shares.

Then the Dodo guys can go out and undercut every other club in securing players, but expect to use those other clubs facilities to train and play in, all the time bagging those same clubs, whining how they make the league way too hard.
