I know he was brought in as a special assistant a few weeks before cotter got the sack but who was the one who decided to bring him in and was that job advertised? What I'm interested in is how did the kings come to know connolly and /or vice versa? Was he a friend or contact of kings executive management?

I think him and Tim Hudson went to church together once. So he must be able to coach a pro team in Australia.
Connelly was brought in by Tim Hudson as a specialist assistant coach to help damian cotter despite the kings having Knight, Jacobmas and Adrian Hurley as their assistant coaches. The ownership approved of the decision without discussing it with cotter.
I'm sure Cotter is happy that he's not a part of the Kings circus and don't have to deal with the ownership group of who's egos get in the way of them thinking they are basketball experts.

The current Connelly has less ability than the guy last season. Kings are a basketcase off the court
