Waratah League 2021

Predictions going into the 2021 Waratah season - seems to be similar squads to 2020 Covid Season with the NBL guys coming back such as Hutchison, Froling, Hunter

Manly probably favorites once again,

any news on movements

Will the COE be apart of this League?

Will there be any live streaming of games?

Those nbl guys won't be available till early June and if they were I’d think they would earn more coin out nsw. Hutchinson only played last season because nbl1 South was called off.

Games will be live streamed and I believe COE will be playing. Sharks look strong in both women and mens teams. Manly and Norths will be in the mix as always.

There has been recent meetings with teams in regards to the comp format changing,
Also what teams will proceed to the Championship Waratah One Division,
NBL1 is off the table this season teams in a stand still over the BNSW fees to enter the NBL1

BNSW want 3 times the normal entry fee while other states charge just 1.5 times normal entry fee prices,

already in general the normal entry fee for BNSW is the same as the NBL1 entry fee in other states which shows you how ridiculous the fees are at BNSW and how pricey the entry fee for NBL1 is

teams willing to move into NBL1 just want fees decreased which is fair assumption

Due to the NBL players only being available for half the season some have elected to stay home
Hutchinson listed for Sharks
Kickert and others for Bulls again

Kickett played one game for the bulls and has been injured since, Hutchinson would be better asking for a release from kings, he's not playing anyway and heading to nbl south to try and establish himself a bit.

the league isn't as bad as people make it out to be just run poorly and marketed poorly, Big V isn't the top league in Vic but is advertised/presented in a professional well

"Big V is advertised/presented in a professional well" - Incorrect!

It was about 10 years ago. Not now by any means

Hutch is listed on Sutho roster, seems like BNSW looking to change the format of the league which will most likely see

2 leagues in NSW in 2022
NBL1 East -> Waratah 1

Waratah 1 Pool A and B and have the Waratah 2 teams join the leftover Waratah 1 teams that don't join NBL1 being split into 2 pools

If they keep their demands for such high Nominations to replace their lost millions in revenue then it won't get off the ground again.

With another staff member leaving although staying on in a smaller role to the group Comoany of one off the clubs parent body one may expect potential Conflicts which other clubs are annoyed about preferential treatment thus far.

Promises of a major infrastructure investment making one of the largest venues in Australia the issue is that council has no noney and has already just a couple of years into a 10 year strategic plac and no mention of any new indoor courts.
Hence people in power falling all over themselves with zero due diligence done to the project. One phone call to council will say no plan have Been lodged with council for the future. Sounds good and keeps them at the top of preferential plans.
