Best import to be released

Normally imports get the ass for poor performance. Can't really say Randall wasn’t.

Who is the best import to be released in the NBL?
Glen Rice Jr?

Glen Rice Jnr - massive talent

Stephen Jackson - cant recall if he was cut or released due to injury.

Sean Redhage - was cut by NZ

Sean Redhage - was cut by NZ

He mostly struggled there though, the OP asked about those who were cut while performing well.

Redhage was a walking travel call in his short time with NZ.
Credit to him for carving out an impressive career with Perth afterwards.

The question was regarding imports who got cut while performing so while you may have provided an answer it was incorrect.

Rice Jnr was disciplinary.

Jackson injured.

Redhage struggled.

It's not about who was retrospectively a good performer afterwards.

Sorry, actually you did - OP's entry is all over the place conflating good with performance, which one is it Anon?

Someone in the other thread asked a similar question about performance but using a threshold of 20ppg. I can't think of anyone who was cut playing on that level?

Steve Blake had impressive résumé.

But Blake wasn't performing. Off the top of my head two that come to mind that have already been mentioned are Glen Rice Jr and Julius Hodge. Rice was crazy so Hodge probably the better example but even after that stunt he pulled with the 36ers he still got another contract with the Tigers.

Homicide Williams had a dramatic fall from grace league MVP with the Crocs in his first year and then cut by them halfway through his second year.

Could Rob Rose sort of count with his animosity with Dunlap? Wasn't cut but parted ways with club.

2007 Rashad Phillips. Led the league in assists for the cats with 7.5pg and just under 14ppg. Shame Scott Fisher didn't like him.

pretty sure homicide just wasn't brought back in the offseason, don't think he was cut mid season

just checked, he played 31 games his last season with the crocs...

You're right I think I was mixing up together his and Conklin's time at the Crocs.

I thought it was a Tucker typo, that player is nowhere near being "Best import to be replaced".

Jarvis lang was pretty good, averaged 19 and 9, was replaced by Marcus Timmons who dominated the league the year prior, the rest is well documented...
